Children ages 5-12 are invited to the Davie Golf & Country Club (8201 Nova Drive) for a morning of fishing fun. Prizes will be awarded for longest fish, longest bass, most unusual, and most fish caught, along with a sportsmanship award. $ 10 registration includes lunch, bait and a t-shirt. Registration at 7 am event at 8 am.

There are always a variety of dogs, cats and rabbits looking for new families to love! Adopt any pet 6 months and older and their adoption fee is 1/2 price! That’s a $50 savings on dog adoptions and $15 savings on cat adoptions! Select pets will be featured “Beach Babes” with their adoption fees waived, and they will come with a beach bucket of goodies! All pets are spayed and neutered. In addition they receive preliminary vaccinations a microchip, 10 day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, deworming, treatment for fleas and ticks, feline leukemia test for cats, heartworm test for dogs 7 months or older, 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food. FREE SOUTH BROWARD JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL

Juneteenth is a historic celebration that honors the announcement to end slavery. The event will kick off with a lively parade led by Junkanoo dancers and stilt walkers. Following the parade are gospel performances, artists, motivational speakers, and a bounce house. Event takes place at Attucks Middle School (3500 N 22nd Ave) from 10 am to 8 pm.

For the 18th consecutive year, the City of Wilton Manors will host the largest LGBT pride event in the greater Fort Lauderdale area, commemorating the Stonewall Riots of 1969. The parade will travel all along Wilton Drive starting at 4 pm. Also enjoy 100 vendors, exhibitors, food trucks, stage performances and more!
